How It Works
From application to award ceremony — here's what to expect
Apply Online
Complete our secure 5-step application form with your personal info, academics, and essay.
Submit Documents
Email your official transcript (through January 2026) to the scholarship email address.
Committee Review
Our scholarship committee reviews all applications using a blind evaluation process.

Everything you need to know about applying
Who is eligible to apply?
You must meet at least ONE of these criteria:
- Current Pine Bush High School student
- Current BOCES student from the Pine Bush district
- Any student who resides in either the Town of Wallkill or Crawford, regardless of their high school
Can I apply for multiple scholarships?
Yes! You can apply for as many scholarships as you qualify for. Some scholarships have specific requirements (like pursuing a teaching career), so be sure to read each one carefully.
What if I attend a private or charter school?
If you are a resident of either the Town of Wallkill or Crawford, and a private or charter school senior, then you can apply. You can select your school from the dropdown or enter it manually.
Do I need recommendation letters?
For most scholarships, no recommendation letters are required—just your official transcript and a personal essay (minimum 300 words). Note: The Bassett Scholarship requires 2 recommendation letters.
What makes a strong essay?
We value authenticity and personal stories. The committee wants to hear YOUR unique voice - share specific experiences, use your natural writing style, and tell us what genuinely motivates you. The strongest essays are ones that could only have been written by you.
When will winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in late April or early May 2026. All applicants will be notified of their status, and winners will receive invitations to attend the Awards Breakfast ceremony with their families.
Can I apply if I'm attending a trade school?
Absolutely! We support students pursuing all types of post-secondary education including trade schools, community colleges, and four-year universities. Your path is valid!
